Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention

The Title II Formula Grant provides funds for the implementation of programs that support the core requirements of the JJDP Act. This funding targets priority issues developed by the Arizona Juvenile Justice Commission. These areas of focus are identified as significant challenges that youth, families and professionals face within the juvenile justice system.

Arizona Youth Partnership

AzYP is implementing a multi-faceted alternative to detention program in Mohave County.

Be Awesome

School-based mentorship is provided youth in the city of Maricopa, AZ

Big Brothers Big Sisters Arizona

The Empower Mesa program provides one-on-one mentorship for youth of incarcerated parents. 

Capacity Builders

Navajo Youth Builders is a school-based life skills prevention program provided in Kayenta, Arizona, and surrounding communities.

Community Bridges AZ

Pre-Arrest diversion is provided to high school students in Payson, AZ. 


Substance use and delinquency prevention education is provided to school-age youth residing in Chandler, AZ.

Pima County Juvenile Court Center

A screening and respite center will be implanted to serve court-referred youth with behavioral health issues. 

PPEP, Inc.

The CHOICES in Action program is provided to school-age youth in Amado, AZ to teach problem-solving skills and help them make positive choices.

Terros Health

The All-Stars program is provided to West Phoenix youth in grades 4 – 8 to prevent involvement in delinquent activities.
